Okay so this email was sent personally to a close friend but upon writing the email I had an out of body experience. It really felt like the content could be for anyone even for myself. Is it weird that as I was writing it, it felt like a higher power was at work? Oh well many things in life are unexplainable and why take away from the magic by trying to explain it? Here it is and I hope you take something away that you need at this very moment.

At the end of the day if the two of you were meant to be together YOU WILL BE!! At the end of the day if the two of you have such a strong bond, a strong love, a strong admiration and respect for each other YOU WILL NEVER FORGET and you will be together. At the end of the day if the two of you just cannot let go and you have tried, then you will be together. At the end of the day when all the questions have been answered and it all points to him, then you belong together.
But if life leads you two in different directions it doesn't mean that love was not valid. It just meant that the love you shared helped make you a better version of yourself and it was a stepping stone to an even GREATER LOVE that you deserve!

A War Within

Falling Slowly - By Glen HansordIf you haven't seen the movie Once, please make it a priority to see it soon. In my book it is a classic. A short synopsis is about how two people find each other and share a musical connection that goes beyond any physical connection. It is very witty and not at all full of fluff, like many love stories. I think it is a real depiction of life and their situation is not a cookie cutter problem with a perfect solution in the end of the story.
The quote I picked is from the theme song Falling Slowly. Sometimes the biggest battle we face is the one we wage with ourselves. Who wins when we have an internal battle? Unfortunately, there is only a loser and that person is you! It's time that we are kinder to the person we live with day in and day out. I am sure that as people we know the correct way to act, the correct way to feel, the correct way to solve a problem. However, folks if life was that simple there would be no pain in this world. The older I get it seems like life is less black and white and more a variety of grays. I believe that people try their best to do the best they can do. My goal is to treat myself a lot kinder. In addition, before I make any decision or take any action I will make sure to put my needs first. I will speak my truth no matter how hard it maybe for others to accept or understand. But above all I will not apologize for being me.

A Fashion Icon's take on Love

Isn't it ironic how I found this quote while watching The Hills. If you don't know that show it's because it has no real substance and I see it as a bag of potato chips. No one should really be watching it because it's just empty calories but sometimes I just want to escape from life and it's satisfying.
I have a theory on "real love" and it's a bit scientific. Love is energy that cannot be created or destroyed. So if something is real it will last forever. When people are absent in our lives we can reflect back on how that person has changed us. People can change us for the good or for the worse. I think the best type of change is the one that makes us the best version of ourselves. Or maybe someone awakens a passion that we slowly let go and forgetting that it was even there. People can have all sorts of affect on us and we will forever be changed.

How can the meaning of love be captured in a sentence or a combination of words? It is indescribable. It is a leap of faith, one that cannot be seen but we are positive of its existence.
Did anyone see Nights of Rodanthe? I didn't think so. It wasn't that good but yes I found an amazing quote. I wish this for everyone who is seeking it, who thinks they may have found it, and who may have to rethink a realtionship that they are currently in now.

Ms. Montalcini is a Nobel Prize-winning scientist who recently turned 100 years old. She feels that her mind is sharper than it was at the age of 20. Her words resonate with me because it comes at a point in my life when I feel a lot of difficulty. So I ask myself what is the lesson here? When one is in a difficult situation we sometimes forget that there is always a lesson. We also forget that the "best" outcome does come from a horrible situation. Why is that? The best outcome means becoming a better person. A person that is wiser, stronger, and more insightful.
